Dr Olivier Balet is a senior engineer and the
R&D manager of the CS' Virtual Reality Department. His main areas of expertise include 3D interaction and animation,
Virtual Reality, multi-modal computer-human interfaces, cooperative working, physical simulation,
virtual prototyping. Prior to his current position, he has conducted research on 3D interaction at the Toulouse
III University, and on virtual human simulation at the ENSICA high school where he was Assistant Professor.
He received his diploma (M.S.) and Ph.D. in computer science (VR specialisation) from the Toulouse III
University, France. He is the author of several IST projects (CAVALCADE, VISIONS, V-Planet, V-Man, etc.).
He is also accredited expert to the European Commission for activities under KA3 and KA4
(Virtual Reality, Simulation, Multimedia and Collaborative Working Action lines),
Virtual Reality professor at both the Toulouse III University and ENSICA, program committee
member or reviewer for international conferences (Eurographics, ICVS, VRIC, Minitrack, etc.), and
the author of more than 25 papers published in international journals and conference proceedings
in his field of research. He has co-organised international conferences on Virtual Reality and is
permanent member of GT-SCOOP (cooperative working), GT-RV (virtual reality) working groups.

[Technical Manager]

Vincent Bobin is a 3D developer
at CS' Virtual Reality Division. He worked previously on 3D softwares
for the skin bioengineering unit CJLA of Pierre Fabre (french dermo-cosmetic
institut) and on the VISIONS software. He is the development manager of VISTA. He received his
Master Degree on Robotics and a post graduate in Numerical Images
from the Université Toulouse III.

[Quality Manager]

Laurence Laget is graduated from
the ESC Toulouse and the University of Paris. She has expertise
in quality control insurance and ISO 9001 methods. She organizes
and promotes CS wide quality improvement efforts. She evaluates
and develops improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability
and safety. She is directly responsible for implementation and maintenance
of the CS quality system. She is reporting on the performance of
the quality system for review and as a basis for improvement of
the quality system.
She is charge of providing quality support to European projects
of the CS' Virtual Reality Division. She also works on projects
for companies such as AIRBUS, STNA and PSA.

|
Abilio Machado is a senior system
engineer for CS' Virtual Reality Division. His main areas of expertise
include GIS (Geographical Information Systems), databases, information
systems and network management. He has contributed to projects for
SPOT (earth observation satellite), AEROSPATIALE and has developed
a GIS for the Aquitaine forest. He received his Master of Science
in Computer Science from the Université Toulouse III.

Joël Joly is a 3D developer at CS'
Virtual Reality Division. He worked on a simulation of airplane's
cockpit for EADS. He is in charge of the sophisticated rendering
for the Non Photorealistic Rendering effects. He received his Master
Degree on Robotics and a post graduate in Numerical Images from
the Université Toulouse III.

Véronique Lefrère is a senior developer
for CS' Virtual Reality Division. She was responsible for the GUI
development in the both the CAVALCADE Esprit project and the VISIONS software. She has expertise in
man-machine interface ergonomy and graphical interfaces such as
Qt and X/Motif. She has previously participated in projects in the
Earth observation and satellite software fields.

Paul Kafno is Managing Director
of HD Thames. An honours graduate of Oxford University where he
was awarded an Open Exhibition, he served as a university teacher
in Africa before joining the BBC. A founding member of the Open
University he pioneeered distance learning in the UK He has a wide
experience as producer and director, including drama, music, events,
sports and educational documentarie, winning international awards
including the Prix Italia and Golden Gate. A pioneer of digital
television, he has given papers at many international conferences
and served on committees for the EBU, International Television Smposium
and IBC, and as a partner in CINENET and VIRTUAL CAMERAMAN.
He is an assessor for the UK LINK project, and Professor of Production
Planning at the International Academy of Broadcasting in Montreux.

Ian Martin is Chief Executive of
HD Thames. A graduate of Oxford University where he was awarded
a First in English, he worked in the BBC on Current Affairs and
Features programmes including Face to Face before joining Thames
TV where he edited ITV's prestige documentary series This Week,
and later became Controller of Features, Education and Religion.
He was Head of Documentaries and later Head of Music and Theatre.
He has been Executive Producer of many major documentaries and specials
which have won international awards including two PrixItalias. He
was responsible for a quarter of ITV's output for schools as well
as innovative educational programming such as Botanic Man which
reached first position in the London Top Ten. He is a former Chairman
of the TV and Awards Committee of BAFTA, Chairman of the Council
of Vision 1250, and President of the High Definition Independent
Producers Association.

Roy English is Commercial Director
of HD Thames. He has worked in the television industry for over
30 years, and was previously Executive in charge of Co-Productions
and Independent Productions at Thames TV. He is an expert on television
business affairs and has worked on many programme strands including
World at War, Around the Beatles, Miss World, Royal Wedding, Mr
Bean, Schindler.

Pierre Dieulafait is production manager and executive producer.
Working for the cinema and TV Industry since the early 80’s he has been production manager of
several cartoon series for French National TV and involved in the production of some famous
movies such as "Assassin(s)" from Mathieu Kassovitz or "L'Odeur de la papaye verte" from
Tran Anh Hung. He also had to manage the film productions of advertising campaigns for
companies such as Nestlé, Yoplait, EdF, Fiat, Reebok, Ariston, Dior, Aprilia Comité France
Olympique 98, Renault, Playstation, Canon, Citroen, Peugeot, Danone, Française des Jeux, l'Oreal,
Lu, Carte Noire, CIC, etc.
Pierre Dieulafait joined the Nord-Ouest group in 2000 in order to develop Nord-Ouest
Advertising, the advertising production branch of Nord Ouest Holding, where he managed productions
such as: Nike, Le Printemps, Korean Airlines, Eurocard Mastercard, Coca Cola, etc.
